July 2014 Novice and Improvers Comp

There were lots of new faces this time around and it was almost everyone's first comp. It was excellent to see so many new female lifters and they did really well. Some of the highlights include:

Ladies:

Daniela Gomez with 105/50/145 for a 300kg total @ 60.1kg

Leah Chandler with 90/52.5/137.5 for a 277kg total @ 83kg

Emily Holyoake with 65/52.5/115 for a 232.5kg total @ 79kg

Zoe Mandt-Rauch with a 62.5kg bench @ 106kg

It was Leah, Emily and Zoe's first comp and Emily now joins the NT team and will compete as a junior at the CAPO Nationals in a few weeks.

Men:

Wayde Hunter with 215/145/240 for a 600kg total @ 105.3kg

Ben Li with 140/100/180 for a 420kg total @ 69.2kg

Ray Nguyen with 185/110/190 for a 485 total @ 99kg

It was Ben and Ray's first comp and Wayde is also competing at the CAPO Nationals in Brisbane early August.
